Jasmine’s Top 3 Lifestyle Tips:
- Don’t dabble…Dabbling is dangerous and useless. Dive all the way in! You need to really hone in on what helps you live at your optimal capacity.
- Put yourself in front of a problem as opposed to being behind a problem. Don’t wait until you have symptoms of bad health to start treating you health, stay ahead of it so you don’t develop symptoms.
- Have fun! Figure out how to enjoy being optimally healthy. Your lifestyle is something you need to do every day of your life. So if there is something that you need to do to be optimally health that you don’t like, figure out a way to adjust it so that you do or find an alternative.
Jasmine’s Hardest Challenge in Changing her Lifestyle:
The hardest thing for me was giving up bread. What I learned is that my stomach and my mind were not benefiting from it. I never had really bad stomach cramps, but I always felt bloated. No matter how fit I was I always had this stomach issue. I also had moments of intense brain fog, I sometime felt quite anxious and just couldn’t think clearly. One day I discovered Marks Sissons Daily Apple and I read about dropping bread. I thought I would give it a try so for a week and a half I stopped eating bread. I found I was thinking clearer, my bloated stomach disappeared and I lost some weight that I wasn’t even trying to lose. That’s what started the ball rolling for me on really thinking about how my body reacts to certain foods.
Does Jasmine Still Fall Off Track Now?
Sure! I enjoy ice cream but I think it’s all about balance. I don’t want to imagine a life without ice cream and dairy doesn’t bother my stomach, so every now and again I allow myself a scoop of my favourite flavor. You don’t have to be dogmatically spick and span about your eating at all times, you just have to know when and what you can eat sometimes and not let it become a habitual thing that burns down your whole house.
Jasmine’s Favorite Form of Exercise:
My go to thing is crossfit. I love going down to my local crossfit box , Solidarity Crossfit and learning new things. I also live in a pretty mountainous area so hiking is a regular thing. And walking is great. When you get home you should just go for a walk with your shoes off. It makes you feel awesome!
